Thumbs down Android Problems Thread

Mods please close this If you think I am wrong.

Firstly there are a lot of guys here asking about the same problems with android which I dont think are being noticed because the messages are either deleted or thread closed so no one see's.

I am not the only one with these problems with android but here are the 2 main ones that keep popping up and mods keep knocking us back down telling us to post in the relevent thread yet these problems are not for a relevent thread.

1. With certain Android Roms users are experiencing when answering and making calls the phonecall will be disconnected due to a problem with the proximity sensor.

2. With the latest Zimage from Cotulla certain users are getting the SOD (screen of death) when the phone goes into standby mode. Cotulla has mentioned this problem is fixed yet we cant find this fix anywhere and he has released the GPS working fix yet no SOD fix?

Hope I dont come off too strong its just when we as in the members try and get our opinion across or ask for help, we are shot down instantly by Moderators who frankly I know more Info than them and they should not close threads on guessing what our problem is.

Thanks, and If anyone thinks I should be a part of the staff Team Just gimme a shout, and ill keep things in order!

have you posted the disconnect problem in the respective rom. I personally have never had it.

secondly if you are getting the green screen of death with the 25th zimage you should revert back to the 23. That image is considered to be the most stable for those who have sharp panels which is what is causing the Gsod.

my two cents

From what I have seen, said mods are only closing threads that their questions have been answered in the sticky information. Its those questions that had made it fustrating for the mods the dev's and the general xda community. I literally see the same questions over and over and these have been answered.

Well not all Android Builds are there same so you are going to have different results, Darkstones proximity sensor for calls works perfect, GPS has been fixed and working except the releases are all home made so far not official, the latest zimage is random for some people, personally works perfect for me but on another hd2 i have available the same build the image doesn't work, so who knows,

and as far as creating threads for problems and questions and answers its a waste of time because they get ignore and dropped down the pages like the thread i made yesterday to help out but nobody uses it or adds any extra info for it, cause it is mainly new people come here for android and they cant be arsed to search for anything and think everything works perfect straight away

@bazgee my point is there is many threads open and closed because you new people just wont search anything

Dude, all these questions have been answered like a 1000 times... Use search! you'll find a solution / answer!

I'm a noob at this.... really, and i had my fair share of hick-ups.. I've researched and read a lot for two days before attempting to install.. This way i knew what my problem would or would not have... I have not asked any questions yet regarding Android errors, please read and research dude... You'll find it!
If not, send me a pvt message and i will search it for you! The mods dont like it if you open these kinds of threads.. Unless you absolutly sure your the only one with this problem..

No offense, just making a point..

Default Were is the text selection method of Desire in Froyo?

Friends help me if possible, In Desire Build V5 .... to select a portion of text, we have a selection method like iphone, that alowed to stretch and shrink, was better than iphone, because we can send it to google tradutor or even to twitter or email.

Now, in Froyo this method of selection dont work...we have one like WM....and is wast we just can copy!!

For exemple:

How did you select a portion of text to edit bold, italic or underline??

I give my centims to, who can, make the a phrase like mine up with Froyo Darkstone V1 in HD2

Is any option off? or is it a app, which?

if not, it's possible to port the method selection of Desire in Froyo.

thanks

So Im guessing my second question still cannot be answered. Cotulla has said the SOD has been fixed yet where is this fix? GO ON search and then try and call me a noob.

I know for a fine fact there will be loads of users reading this right now agreeing with me and glad that I posted this.

Dude, i'm not calling you a noob, and i'm not dissin you in anyway,

The SOD, came with the latest Zimage from the 25th, dont use this one.. Get the ZImage from the 23rd NO SPEEDY!

If your problem still persists, i suggest you:

- Remove SD and SIM card
- Hard Reset
- Task 29 it
- Put a compatible radio on it, (See my signature for a example)
- Put a decent winrom on it, like Chuckys, Miri or Energy
- Hard reset it again
- Insert Sim and SD card
- Format SD CARD (uncheck quick format)
- Put an Android built on it, with Zimage Nospeedy from the 23rd
- perhaps a Android Loader...

Do this, might take you 30 min overall... and you'll be home free...

Now i've explained it again.. hope this helps and hope you'll research more in the future..

Alright bro, Good luck
