Default Vodafone Live India problem with Android...

Hi, I am from India and here the services SUCK...

Anyways, I have a question to all the developers....

I use Vodafone Live GPRS connection, 0 rental and 10 p/ 10 kb...

Now comes the funny part, the Vodafone guys tell me that first of all, Android isnt supported by Live, I need a V Mobile Connect...(that costs a bomb)

BUT....

GPRS works fine with the Browser ONLY...why so???

Why cant anyother Apps use it??

If its the SAME phone, SAME service, then how can one app use it and the other cant???

Any help is greatly appreciated...

hey its because of the proxy issue

vodafone live comes with a http proxy

tats why u r not able to use it in other applications

get a bsnl 2g sim

274 per month

unlimited

the apn for the same is bsnlnet

you would be able to browse 3g at the price of 2g

First, Mobile services do not suck in India.. If you look at European countries, we have been enjoying loads of free sms and down to earth call rates. Try to appreciate what we have. Second, Vodafone does have a Rs 98 plan which gives you 2 GB.. Use it or leave it.. And still unpleased with Indian mobile services, just go somewhere else. No offence meant.

And I have used HTC Magic(Android), HTC Hero, Sony Xperia X1 ( Windows 6.5 ), Sony Xperia X10 and now HTC Desire ( Android ) and have tried them all on Vodafone with no connectivity issues.
