This has been around since at least July 30.

In fact, you can now manually force the 2.2 install on a US Droid (not sure about Milestone). Check Engadget or Gizmodo for more.

Guys, please check the below link where you will find how to update Froyo 2.2 on Milestone (read the users comments below the subject and you will find that some users succeeded in installing it to Milestone (also the sample photos are from Milestone)
