Just think, if you keep your phone two years... $240 on insurance.

Half the cost of the phone.

It's almost ALWAYS a better investment to spend the $20 on a case and then pocket the $10/mo into your own personal "insurance fund".

$125 deductible... $5 a month is half as much, so $120 over two years. $120+$125= $245

It's a wash but based on the fact the BB doesn't have deductibles it might be cheaper if you have to replace it twice.

But all in all, you can insure yourself to death, I vote just get a $20 case and call it good.

ST only insures the money spent on the device, not the device itself. Check facts before posting.

Also, BB warranties obviously only apply to BB purchased devices.

ummmmmm, WHAT? so you're telling me that when my TyTN II died the first time under SquareTrade's warranty and I paid $750 for it, giving me back $750 after a year and a half was........ not what I wanted? Check YOUR facts before rambling....

I bought my Captivate on a pricing error for $299.
Guess how much SquareTrade will cover? $299. If my device dies, they'll cut me a check for $299 because the retail $499 price is too expensive.

So check YOUR facts, please.

Let's also assume a $499 device had a $300 repair done to it. They devalue your coverage by that much, so now you've only got $199 left. So now let's say your device breaks completely. Well, you've only got $199 coverage left, they'll cut you a check for $199 and you're SOL on the rest.

Again, like I said earlier, they insure your money invested, not the device. So please stop talking out of your ass when you have no idea.
