Already disappointed in the Epic 4G
When the Epic 4G was 1st announced it was said to have 1 GB ROM and TouchWiz 3.0 just like all the other Galaxy S handsets, but recently I looked at the Sprint developer page and found this info on the Epic 4G: 512MB ROM, and TouchWiz 2.5
To some people it may not seem like a big deal, right? It's still running on mostly the same specs, and has a few qualities over the other Galaxy S phones, so no big deal that it has less ROM and runs on an older TouchWiz, right? Well, some may not not care, but this worries me. 1st off, I'm concerned about less ROM because this could potentially not meet the minimum requirements for Gingerbread. Also of concern is that it runs a diferent TouchWiz than the other Galaxy S phones, meaning it may not be very compatible with the others, and could potentially delay updates, seeing as how it's Samsung and they have a bad reputation for leaving their phones in the dust.
I was very excited about the phone, but seeing these "downgrades" may potentially turn me off from the phone. I hope it's just a typo and it really does run the same UI as the other Galaxy S phones, and has at least a GB of ROM, seeing as how the other variants have well over a GB of internal storage. It would really blow if this phone got the Behold II treatment.
