Default Official: Samsung GPS fix release September

We all know that Sumsung is developing a fix. How good a fix nobody can tell, but this is a good sign.

well if they only fix for the US then it's pretty idiotic of them. the hardware's almost the same anyway.

Just tried the manual fix and, standing by my window, I get an accuracy of 5 meters whereas without the fix it was never better than 110 meters and it jumped around everywhere now it's stable.

Tried this fix and Co Pilot today and it was fantastic. The SGS has gone from crap to similar performance to my Iphone 3G.

the gps is all over the place on these phones. with mine, and the manual fix, i cannot get better than an accuracy of 30m, and it still takes about 1-2 minutes to get a lock.
