hey
i have an xperia x10A from rogers in canada. i had updated it using SEUS and then rooted it to the FW 23 rom. anyways the new easy method came out and i decided to root to the FW 26. it was very simple, just go to this thread:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...33#post7490733

and download the megaupload rar file that is headed as

Exploid Root for X10a (contains Generic R2BA026 X10a) (it is the first download in that post)

once u have that downloaded, unrar it into a folder and read the text file named IMPORTANT.txt

the instructions are pretty clear from that point, and when ur ready to run the 'RootX10a_v2.cmd' file, just right click it and run it as administrator. follow the instructions and u should have it rooted to the latest 26 rom.

NOTE that all ur stuff will be lost in this transition so back up whtever u can before u do it.

good luck hope i helped!

I have tried several of the root methods, all works, but this is the easiest one !
You dont have to worry about your phones device ID, java or anything else, just smile !

And to give a comment to the previous post, reflashing removes all your installed applications, but does not remove anything from your sdcard or SIM-card.

I recommend updating to 026 with SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service) and then root with the above method.
