Streak won't charge

Got my streak and turned it on for about 10 minutes. Go back to it a little while later and it won't turn on, shows picture of battery. I figure it's needing a charge so I plug it up. Unit doesn't appear to do anything. Call Dell and they walk me through a few things and say they think the battery is dead and that they can swap it but it will be a week or two before they have more in. I said this phone is brand new, just came in, let's just swap it then. Dell Rep states that it's against dell policy and they can't. So I'm returning it. If anyone has some good contacts at Dell I would love to explain this to them, that I really wanted the phone and would like to try it out but I'm not staying under contract while they work on replacing it or getting it working.

Did u try connecting it to the computer and charging
I had issues with charging with the charger but when i connect it to my computer , it charges. I am planning to file acomplaint soon

On tapatalk so can't see where youre from. But in the UK they must exchange, they have no choice.. Fit for purpose is the phrase you need
