Default Contact's lost, how to get em back ?

Sooooooo, before i flashed my phone once again, i backupped my contacts to sdcard... Too bad that right after that i formated the sdcard (were suposed to first format, then backup)

Whit data recovery program i managed to sniff some of the files back, but i got no clue that in what file the phone makes the backup ?

And how large it should be whit ~100 contacts, that ~50 has picture.

These what ive tryed so far:

"#EMP38~1" - "No contacts found"
"#EMP41~1" - "same"
"fota.pkg" - Got no clue abaut this one

? Any helps pls

I sync with google and keep detailed contact info updated through my gmail acc and have never had a single issue, other than gmail creating new contacts for me. Works like a charm and ive never backed them up once with any app and have flashed my phone at least 2 dozen times.

Sent from my X10i using XDA App

Yea, thats why gotted rid off the gmail contacts... Pissed me off when it added every people i have send email to my phones contacts...

Yeap, ive normaly used the Phones contact backup feature. From contact's you push the menu button -> More -> Copy contact's -> "Sim card - sdcard"... Worked perfectly so far.... untill i formated the sdcard...

The only thing you have to do in order to NOT have all of your gmail contacts on your phone is to mark the phone only contacts as "My Contacts" in Gmail, then set the phone sync so that "All Contacts" is NOT sync'd to your phone.

That way you have it nicely seperated and don't end up with 100 email addys in your phone.

That way you can never lose your contacts the way you have.

Well, it apears that ive been havin SE-Sync enabled, founded 99% of my contacts from that... Tho, still losed the one and only that was rly needed (for job interview on next week)...

But anyways, what ive learned, Turned SE-Sync on auto, and letted it syncronise all needed stuff every second day...
