Default Debranding ?

Fairly new x10 user here and just wanted to ask, is there no more way of debranding the X10 without rooting it? I am on custom philippines firmware R2ba020 and hoping to get the newer versions.

I made it with this:

No Root required.

thats good to hear it still apparently works! what method did you use? switching the 2 update files last minute on SEUS?

I cant seem to figure out the PC companion method because the tutorials say I have to look for the DB folder in PCcompanion.. I cant seem to locate it even with hidden folders being visible. The only DB folder I could find was in the separate SEUS folder. I am using btw 64bit Vista ultimate

Im not getting the debrand, it always fails at the end, I have tried replacing the file like 10 times, a bit before, a bit later, 1mb left 2mb left 3mb left ...

Is this method still working?
