Default Help with unrooting x10 mini pro

I rooted my x10 mini pro using the exploid method to use barnacle wifi tethering and titanium back up to remove unwanted apps. A new software update is now available but i cannot install it because my phone is rooted. They say you need to use SE update service or pc companion to remove the root.
SE Update says my software is up 2 date and so cannot update using it PC companion also says my phone is up to date and when i try to repair ,it says could not download the update and asked me to check my internet connection. I don't understand this because I use the same PC companion to download everything else fine...media go, the update engine.
Is there another way to unroot the phone...i gather it is possible to flash the default u20i software back onto the phone.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated because as things stand I would not even be able to update to 2.1 when its released.

I also had a rooted X10 mini pro and I couldn't get the update without unrooting it. I ran Update Service and just like in your case, I got a message that my phone was up to date. However, when that message appeared, I could press "Install/Update" (don't remember what the button was called) in the bottom right corner of the screen. That reinstalled everything, root was removed, so I could update it and re-root it.

When I use the SE updated service it just says no new updates for your phone. The only button on the bottom right corner is exit. There is no option to install.

Just to be sure the se update service is a separate software to pc companion not part of it. I googled seus to find it. Just in case there is confusion, it also told me that it was up to date but I had the option to reinstall

Sent from my E10i using XDA App

Yes I know the Update service is a separate software to pc companion. I have a mini pro U20i and it gave me no option to reinstall only to exit the program. If the update service is the program with an icon of a phone with a download arrow beside it then thats what i'm using.

I am also having the exact same problem.

I cannot unroot my phone - and the SEUS just says I have the latest version installed and will not allow me to reinstall/repair.

Any other ideas would be appreciated!

I've had the same problem - rooted the mini Pro, then couldn't download the update and couldn't repair it using SEUS (saying I had latest version) or PC Companion (error with internet connection) and couldn't unroot it.

I've sorted it by using Omnius mentioned in another thread.

Register on the site and download the software and the ROM. I chose the U20i_WORLD_1_8_CDF1238_0199, which on a thread about changing the colour listed it as UK Black. It's a RAR with 2 files. I set the larger file to be Application file and the smaller one as the Customisation file.

Flashed it and it worked, back to stock without root. Took a while to boot from the SE logo, I thought I'd bricked it!

Downloaded the official OTA 1.2.A.1.174 and it installed. Going to test now, hoping that it may improve battery life, my only complaint with the phone.

Mine's a sim-free x10.

PS - It's still blue scheme, not black.
