Default [Q] Will I be able to receive the 2.2 OTA update if I have my phone rooted?

Pretty obvious question. And don't say just put the leaked 2.2 on, I tried that and it failed...several times.

I just read an article about the moto droid that their rooted phones will receive the ota. So it must be possible, though I don't have details on whether or not our phone will do the same. It also didn't mention if the ota removes root or not.

FWIW I hate Verizon right about now.

Edit: Yeah, what he said. You need the stock recovery is the word on the block. Although no one has actually received an OTA since we've gotten root so I'm not sure what they base information on.

I read the same, that Verizon MAY start pushing OTA to rooted devices. Just rumors from Droid-Life, not sure if it'll turn into anything. Sure would be interesting, since the majority of android users PROBABLY root anyway.
