Default OTA 2.2 Recovery Image Question...

If I open the ROM using WinRAR and just extract the recovery.img and the android text file (the 2 files located in the stock 2.1 file from adrynline (sp?)) and zip them up and name it PB31IMG.zip, do I know have a 2.2 stock recovery that i can use in the future if need be?

Only asking since the 2.2 OTA is being pushed out and if I ever need to send the phone back I want to be able to go back to stock.

Thanks.

** I tried to search the forums, but couldn't find the exact info I needed**
