Rooting then upgrading to froyo

The post is gonna he quick cause I'm at work...I have my phone rooted with the update.zip file method..when 2.2 comes out,I will be upgrading,bit will I lose root? And if so, will the update.zip or the one click root work.

I know the one click root desont support 2.2 by d just thought I'd ask.

There is really no way to know since none of us have Froyo. Chances are the dev's will have to figure out how to re-root the phone.
