I'm new at android but i saw this post and i am assuming the other phones its been flashed too are htc but i was still wondering if this could be flashed on the captivate? i know it seems dumb but mayb it can be

i would bet it wont work

I feel like engadget misunderstood. I don't believe the ROM has been fully flashed onto any hardware, it may have been tested in the SDK and it's even possible they were able to import several things (like the modem) and several apk's into something like the nexus one (for instance, phandroid has a commenter claiming to be running the G2 launcher and G2 google apps on stock froyo 2.2 FOR THE NEXUS ONE). I doubt there have been any pre-bakes, but I wouldn't be surprised if there is something there for the nexus one (feel free to show me otherwise, I'd be interested in seeing it)

I feel the same way after checking sources I don't think its been flashed completely either but one can hope anyways that 2.1 vanilla may be hitting soon which spill be a relief
