Question [Q] Low Text Notifications!

Has anyone noticed text tones are VERY low? I tried the system standard ones, and also dowloaded a few from Zedge and also used tone picker...NO MATTER WHAT at full volume I can barley hear when I get a text unless I am right next to the device (it is extremley low). I have the system volume on Max also. Anyone else experiencing this? I need to be able to hear my phone when I get a text, what an incredible feature that would be!

Go into settings, then Sound and Dispay, then click on Ringer volume. There are different sliders there for ring volume and notification volume. If your notification volume there isn't at max, just slide it up to where you want it. Otherwise, I dunno why it's so quiet for you.

Yes, I know this is an old thread. But I have a similar problem but with a different setting. I'm running cognition 2.3b8 with Froyo.

My volumes are not as loud as how they were in Stock Eclair-but this isn't the problem. The may issue now is that notification volume tend to reset to low its low level as hard as I tried to increase it to max. This happens once I receive a message from my mobile service provider - like checking my credit balance and so.

Does anyone else have the same issue?

I have the same exact problem that USSD code resets the notification volume back to its low levels.

It seems an issue affecting many other galaxy users, searching for a solution got me no where.

It seems that this USSD sound volume issue is solved with some of the new modded ROMs. Now my phone doesn't produce a sound when I receive ussd feedback.
It is good in a way that a don't need sound notification for that & so system sound volume won't get needed up.
I tried perception, phoenix, serendipity, and now on firefly
