every time I click on the start button it says flash failed. any ideas?

okay.. paid more attention this time and it fails after creating the image. the program starts to flash something else and then fails.

Im running vista I try to run step eleven and it doesn't flash all the way.

i cant even get rsd to see my device....

And I assume you installed the latest drivers with MotoConnect?

RSD Lite isn't really the greatest software in the world. So hit or miss. Keep posting up here. If you have access to Linux based computer, try Matt4542's method. A lot less steps, and a lot easier!

Yes I have the latest moto drivers and it wont recognize my droid2. And no linux for me

Put your phone into PC Mode? What OS are you running? Try restarting your computer and/or phone yet?

Is there a way to just ADB push the stupid thing?

You should consider Linux and Matt54545's instructions at this point.. its a download, and it can save your $200 brick
