Milestone camera photo compression

Is there any way to change compression photos taken by cam?

Use third party camera app like pro zoom camera or vignette but image size will increase so does the processing time.

From what I've read in the Milestone/Droid Section, Droid users didn't notice any change in the quality of the photos.

Maybe we must wait the Milestone 2 to come out and be rooted, so we could try it's camera apk, as Milestone 2 advertised with camera improvements here in the promotional video....
