Just for the hell of it, i called in and got a replacement phone from t-mobile. The replacement phone that I recieved is also locked. so, if you are trying to get an "unlocked" one, you might need to try a few times. I'm going to just wait for froyo and see how it goes from there and get my free battery from tmo.
For those that don't know about the free battery, you should call in and make a complaint about your battery draining out in a few hours from a full charge. They will ask you a few questions to make sure it's not water damaged. Then they will send out a replacement battery for free. You do not have to send back the old one. Now you will have two batteries.
