Network/Operator name widget?

is there an app I could use as widget or put in status bar to have information about my network operator?

There is an Airplane Toggle Widget that changes label text to Operator Name (when not on airplane mode, of course).
It's available @ the Market.

There is app called Operator Name Widget on Google Play.
