I am still unsure if I should purchase the non camera version of the Touch2 from my Country as I seriously dislike the Windows Mobile Platform it operates on. Really hope the Android OS porting will be a great success.

Haha I am waiting for some results (or some form android ready touch2 assurance) before I make the decision.

I hope android makes better use of the battery than windows mobile, because it doesn't last too much .

Eeeeeh no, I have a HTC Magic (similar specs but with Android) and believe me, WM 6.5 makes a better usage of the battery life. My Magic won't last a day, using it normally (some SMS, calls and surf) ; my girlfriend's Mega will last for 2 or 3 days with a similar usage...

I don't have much hope with this project because I've seen Android ported to the HD2, witch has better hardware, and because its not native it has a lot of latencies and issues.

I wish you all the best with porting.

Guys....Don't be angry.....
To port it is so difficult! How will you do if you are 1 of the porting team...
Wait for the end of 2010.... It should at least have beta version...
If not, project is definitely dead
