It's very strange, now the I5800 shows me 80%, so the phone indicates me just a level and not he exact battery level
Then I installed battery time lite, it shows me also 80% and not the exact level
Have you encountered the same thing? Is it normal?
Thanks
Same thing for me (BT Teos i5800), battery level is displayed 10% by 10%. That's how it is supposed to be for this device.
Pay attention to battery monitoring software you can download from the market, or task killers. They are both useless (for task killers, an excellent article on the net explains why they should not be used, use this search in Google to find it : "android task killers explained") and for some of them can drain your battery (since they monitor the battery, they induce more CPU work than if they were not used...), or be shipped with adware (resulting in frequent data connections thus battery drain...)
hi , does anyone have a bug with the I5800XWJI4 firmware the /system/ have only 1000kb free ? any solution for retrieve memory in /system/ for update busybox ?
i tried flash with data.rfs of I5800XWJH2 but not resolved !
Hi,
I purchased a french I5800, stock firmware but with simlock
I upgrade to I5800XWJI4 and I was stuck at Samsung logo, then I flash back to JG6 and it worked, I tried to flash again to JI4 but same result, stuck at logo
Now I'm back to JG6 and everything seemed to work fine but I noticed the famous gps issue and another much annoying issue : battery icon
in fact it shows always 90%!!!, I tried to flash again but nothing change.
Has anyone ever encountered such issue? If yes please help me!
Thanks
mehmet le firmware JI4 risque pas de passer sur ton tel , essaie d'introduire le data.rfs du I5800XWJH2 dans le JI4 avec l'outil IZARC et apres reessaie !

Root first, then use either Titanium to uninstall system apps or do it manually, deleting unneeded apks from /system/app. Both will work, however uninstalling with Titanium updates (removes uninstalled packages) packages.xml file properly.

Use any firmware that you like man...
My i5801 came with DDJG6
But now I'm using JI2
Nothing will happen
I recommend you to use JI2 or JH1
Hi!
First of all thanks alot for the answer.
When you flashed your device with the JI2, you didn't experience any of the mentioned IMEI loss or the changing MAC address?
Is there any way I can be sure that everything will work ok and that any of these problems will appear?
Another question - with the JI2 firmware do you experience the the known GPS issues and the incorrect battery indicator?

Yes indeed, battery monitoring is useless with the teos, and I uninstalled taks killer too, I noticed what you say with my galaxy S, taskiller drained a lot of battery!

bonne chance ketur
merci, oui, toutes mes tentatives sur le JI4 se sont soldées par un bloquage sur le logo Samsung... je suis finalement sur le JG6, je passerais directement à Froyo quand (si) il sortira!
Just a quick question. If i flash my phone can i backup my apps and stuff? Cause i have bought paid apps from the market. Flashing removes everything right?
Any UK Orange people tried flashing yet? Seems to be a lot of talk about models from other countries. I hope I'm not the only one with this phone! (I'd love to get rid of the orange bundled-stuff)
Not too long ago, we talked about how Sony was continuing its AOSP efforts on … more
