Spica and G5 use diferent input devices, G5 uses synaptics and spica something else
Guys you are missing the point here
WE NEED FROYO`s KERNEL Released, After that we can put multitouch
Without froyo Kernel sources for GALAXY 5, no multitouch
You can try whatever you want, it wont work, trust me on this i have searched compiled and done crazy stuff
No kernel, no multi
With kernel, yes multi
Guys, I was trying to move applications to the SD card and found out that not all of them could be moved. Got a clarification that only apps that have that feature can be moved, fair enough. Now I see a strange thing happening. Whenever I restart the mobile after moving the app to SD card, the app disappears from the applications screen or the home screen. And the application is seen in the manage applications window under 'On SD card'. Is this a bug or am I missing something? BTW I have just flashed to Froyo.

Multi touch here multi touch there, there are more pressing issues that having multi touch, like making the phone run as fast as humanly possible with the current kernel. Yes spica got multi touch but there were a bunch of very skilled individuals, bashing away at the kernel sources for ages trying to get stuff working, it is not a pretty process and whining that you want multi won't make it happen, you would probably just end up upsetting M. Now how about giving a hand in testing rom builds.
PS: And in case you didn't get it there is no way to just get multi touch from some other phone and stick it on to the galaxy 5, because as opposed to windows on linux the drivers are mostly built into the kernel, that's why they call it a monolithic kernel.

So now, most things work, except Games. I want to use Angry Birds and Pocket Legends, both I saw, that they were at least working on the Galaxy 5.
What's wrong with them and the Froyo ROM? Has anyone figured it out or have them running successfully? I can't even install them from the .apk, it always interrupts after 2 seconds and says 'Installation unsuccessful'. Download from the market also doesn't work.

Have you tried to hard reset? Also,I found something odd with the latest market app. It would not allow me to install anything. So what I did was went to applications and uninstalled the updates. I was able to download and install applications after that.
Yup, hard reset didn't do anything. Uninstalling the market didn't work to install those game either. They just don't download and if I use the .apk from my SD Card it just says 'Application not installed' after just 1-2 seconds.
Something must be still borked with this Froyo Version. Hmmmmm! :(
