Is there ANY firmware that has swedish language?
I am using 2.2 now, had 2.1 before, and right now the 2.2 is from USA.
I need Swedish language, and scandinavian keyboard doesnt work when i installed it on my phone

Please, help me. Anyone know if there is a Swedish version, or ANY version with swedish language?

Please Please Please!!

Battery Issue Resolved.

Hey guys with Phones of model I5503. I had previously upgraded to 2.2 but had a battery issue. So I degraded to 2.1 again.

But now I have found the solution for Battery Drain Problem. Try these steps and see if it works.

1. Before flashing your phone remove your SIM card and SD card (Memory Card) from your phone.
2. Flash your phone
3. Do a Hard Reset to your phone as per the 1st Post in this Forum
4. After the Hard Reset. Insert your SIM and SD card.

Try all and see if it works.

I am from India.
Samsung Galaxy I5503 Froyo 2.2
with no Battery Issue.

just re-flash ur phone. go to the 1st page of this thread and just follow the instruction on how to flash it. even if it's brick, u can still press & hold the following: volume down, center button, power button... until the android logo, holding a shovel appears. that's the downloading mode. then hook it up to ur usb cable. just follow the instructions in the 1st page.

so.. did it fix the battery issues on ur phone?? how many days before it drains out and charge it??

you can try this method. I did this everytime.

after every reboot, wait until your SD is connected
go to task manager(long hold home)
select RAM manager, select level 2 and clear memory.
exit

after a while u'll get back all your shortcuts but it won't be organize.

hope this help.

Got it solved by changing the home launcher to launcher pro as the stock one is very slow ad doesnt show stored apps on sd card


but this is solved as i stated by using a different launcher such as launcher pro

Froyo asia one only works on resistive touch screens as stated earlier and only on 15508 handsets so dont use it to flash ur i5503 it wont work on it.

Sounds good, will definitely try and let you know the results, in the meantime please let us the know the difference u have now, I mean - Battery Backup (in Hours) before and now.

I hope we will get 2.2.1 on our sg5. This version improves batt life. Some phones gained 100% more.

who knows how can we use the kies patcher to get the latest official and update-able through kies version of firmware to be ready for the 2.2 european one. I've got the JJ6 and it says it can't be updated. I want a version that can.

    Odin v4.28 & Ops File

    1. Extract Odin v4.28 and Ops File.zip I5500XXXX.rar
    2. Open Odin v4.28,
    - Select OPS tab: EUROPA_I5508_v1.0.ops
    - Select BOOT tab: I5500XXXXX_BOOTLOADER.tar.md5
    - Select PHONE tab: I5500XXXXX_amss_phone_CL462398.tar.md5
    - Select PDA tab: I5500XXXXX_PDA_CL500331.tar.md5

    - Make sure Auto Reboot & Protect OPS selected in Option tab

    Hi everyone,

    I'm working on the GT-I5500 for about 10 days, played alot, flashed alot and i finaly got to learn how it works
    Well i have created a modified froyo version based on samsung's I5500LAR0JP2
    Basically i tweaked the initiation scripts and got the powersave gorvernor set to ondemand
    It was performance, so the cpu clock was always at max
    The battery now lasts about 3 times more according to testers and the device aparently is more stable. All the apps are the same
    Setcpu can be removed since the powersave mode is now default

    To install it, use the odin procedure as the same as the I5500LAR0JP2
    Remember to do a factory wipe after installing
    Below the file, DO NOT RENAME THE FILE TO .TAR OR ANYTHING ELSE, odin will do the checksum of the file so you know it has been downloaded correcty

    Update:

    Downloaded and installed the usa firmware successfully!!.......Phone starting up with GT-I5500B.......some new icons.....:

    5. Unreceived Calls
    6. Downloads

    I was not getting internet connection and saw that the APN Type has changed to Internet.......I selected Internet+MMS+DUN and it started working again.....

    Will post again.....let me test and play with it more.........
