[Q] Insurance plan with MyTouch3g?

Hi all,

I have a question for my friend who just recently lost his MyTouch 3g while travelling. Fortunately, he did get an insurance plan when he purchased the phone and he will be able to get one (or at least we think that's how the insurance plan's going to work)

Now, my (or his) question is:

His MT3G was 32B, not v1.2 with the 3.5mm jack. When he get the new mytouch, would he be able to get newer MT1.2 or would he be handed another one of the "original" version of the mytouch 3g?

Not much help, but I can tell you with confidence, if they have 32b's, he will get a 32b. If they only have 1.2's then he will get one of those.

If they have neither, he may end up with a slide. From what I read somewhere, tmobile recalled all the 1.2's in the stores so that they could use them for warranty/refurb purposes. I just got my 1.2 replaced with another 1.2, so they probably have a bunch of those in stock.

I don't have a source to quote on that info (may have been a random forum post)
