There are a few simple lines that are controlling this gain (from gauner1986) and I could tweak it back down some, but since I made a test call to my brother with no real issues let's get some more info first.
  • Were you on speaker?
  • Were you using a BT headset/speaker?
  • Were you on a wired headset?
  • Did you try the obvious of turning your speaker volume down?

Thanks.
I retired my HTC HD2
Now have the SGS2 Stock (rooted)

No to all above beside volume.. Only does it on some calls not all. Speaker volume was around 1/4. Anything below that was hard to hear the other party. But as i say it was only on selected calls. Sometimes it would be fine, others it wouldn't, wasn't following any real trend.

Next time i shall provide some more info, sorry!

No worries. That almost sounds like a radio problem to me. Perhaps it was even a fault of the other end of the call and not your phone.

Same here. Other party hears echo in calls. Would be nice if you could reduce it.

Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App

No. BT is not working with the EVO kernel and CM6 based builds.

Just to be sure, when I want to use your kernel with bangsters 1.4 I have to overwrite the files and edit startup.txt to change the kernel to be loaded to EVO (not AXI/NOAXI)?
