Seems like you gotta follow same procedure as JPH, flash to JPC then no re-partition to JP4.

Crisis! Help!

Hey guys!

first of all thanks for all the info and support so far, you all been a huge help!

now heres the deal,

I flashed my I9000 S to the new JP4.tar (or JP5 as it should be) with 803 PIT file, but I did it over the Voodoo lag fix. :((

I marked "re-partition" at the ODIN because i figured it will be OK this way

then it rebooted said something about "can't mount E:\" and "DBDATA"..
I had no idea what to do so i took a chance and told it to reboot again,
and now it's dead. adb cant see the devices and i can shutdown it only by removing the battery.

Please Help! I'm in a panic attack!

No need to panic
flash to JPC with repartition and 512 pit
then JP4 without pit/repartition

But the ODIN isn't aware of my device!..

(I want also to correct my previous post and say that I CAN turn it on and off with the power button, but there's a dark screen and the USB isn't recognized by the PC.
Also - the 3-button combination never worked on my device before, FYI)

It wasn't very smart to flash this rom (or any other rom) without 3 button combination...
don't know how to help you, sorry
maybe try using adb to reboot into download mode
