sorry but stop being sarcastic. MANY and i mean MANY guids here say that all you have to do is update rom and radio. THATS it. now all of a sudden we have to update our RIL?

im not blaming you, far from it, im just saying that this is very bizare that ril updates wasnt picked up as a "necesary" when updating radio's.

Maybe thats why this radio diddnt work for me but im not about play and **** around with RIL's until its matured because it seems only a few days people HAD to update RIL's.

Go and point me to a guide stating how u need to update ril's for some radio's. Nope dont think so. as far as MOST people are concerned you can update radio and rom for a desire.

So take that sarcastic remark out of your mouth and toss it in the bin.

Have probs with Wifi on this radio. The. 23 runs better with Defrost ROM. Go back to this one.

A also had problems with recent Defrost Wifi on .23 thats an issue of Defrost which is very buggy.

But I also had a small issue with 5.11.05.14 on Alex V 1.6.2 - one wasnt comming through (got an SMS of missed call but Network was available all the time) so as a precaution I went back to.23 which is the best Radio for me (reception and battery life).

Signed and ready. Tested it myself and works just fine for me.

RADIO: 32.48.00.32U_5.11.05.14

1. If you don't know how to use this update, please search.
2. If you don't know what the RIL update does, don't flash it! Search first.
3. If you want to try it, nandroid first to be on the safe side.
4. If it messes up, nandroid back.
Just installed the RIL on OD 4.0.28 Radio 32.48.00.32U_5.11.05.14.
When my screen turns off i loose the connection to my Provider (o2 Germany)

Installed OD 4.0.28 again without wipe and now my connection is back.

May I ask your specific impressions with OD .28 and this radio (not RIL) ?
I'm seeing very great signal strength, but very poor battery life.
Would be great for me to understand if I'm the only one

thanks !

Above not terribly informative, I have flashed the radio and it seems to work, flashed the update to a custom rom based on Cyanogenmod. Any benefit in flashing the RIL thingy and do you flash it the same way, say, with clockwork recovery?

What's up with using install.zip with Clockwork recovery to flash ROMs/Radios ? I never did that and I can flash just fine.
