Cool Total noob to root, need some help

Okay, I rooted to help clear up memory on my Epic 4G so it would run faster and I could do what I wanted.

Prior to root, I had 70-100mb of free Ram according to Taskiller. After rooting, it is ALWAYS at 55mb free. Doesn't seem to matter what apps I keep or delete.

What I am looking for is advice to keep the Droid rocking, running smooth, and running the way I want it to. Suggestions on apps, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

Again, I'm a root noob so take it easy.

DONATE TO ME
You need to remember that RAM is only proportional to applications that are actually RUNNING. It has nothing to do with those that are merely installed.

also things loaded in ram make those things load faster as it is memory of the apps you load the most. someone said that unused ram is wasted ram. so i wouldnt be so worried as to how much ram you have loaded this is different from a pc to where a pc gets bogged down from to much in ram.

What he meant was this is different from a PC running Windows and RAM is depleted - In a Linux enviroment RAM is essentially recycled and capable of longer periods of continuous up time. Hence the dominance of Unix/Linux boxes chosen for server enviroments.
