Is there no way to copy and paste text from an email? wtf

Sorry if this is a dup but I can't find an answer anywhere and I figured you guys would really know whats what

Use the Swype keyboard. Swype from the “tips” key at the far bottom left hand corner of the screen to the “sym” key and a copy/cut and paste option will appear.

K-9 mail app also allows you to select text and copy to clipboard without using the swype keyboard.

This is driving me crazy as well - and I hate K-9 and Swype. Plus, when I forward an email, it sends it as an attachment - rendering it useless if someone on a blackberry is trying to open the email....I never had this problem with my Incredible with the Stock Android email app. Is it possible to use that email in place of the Samsung one? If so - does someone have the .apk? I have one from Adrynalyne that i was trying, but I get a parsing error when I try and add it via Root Explorer

OK, I'm reading the email. How do I get the keyboard to come up so I can select the text. Do I have to start a "Reply"?

I just use the Copy Paste It app and really like it.
