How To Fix SetCPU Death

Ok so craziest thing just happened. Ive had SetCPU on my phone for a few weeks now without a single problem. Tonight I went to uninstall it and when I did my screen went dark, almost a dark gray as though it was trying to light up.

If I went through the Market to uninstall it or through settings and applications it would lock my phone up as soon as I clicked uninstall and I would have to pull the battery and restart it. Phone would restart fine but if I let it sit for a few seconds the screen would go black and not come back on and the soft keys would light up.

The way I finally got rid of it was to pull the memory card, reboot the phone, go into applications through the menu, force stop the app (SetCPU) then uninstall it. Seems to be running fine now, but have no idea what caused it.

What setting did you have it on?

There was a discussion about how on demand doesn't work. Conservative is the only one that works. I ended up having to reboot five times before I realized that the only variable that I changed was that...

I had it set to conservative. I just noticed with it installed my battery wasnt lasting as long. I went to uninstall it and all hell broke loose
