Here's what you need to do (i will assume you have ADB functional):
1.) Open up a Command prompt, and type (without the ""): "ADB pull /system/build.prop c:\"
2.) Use a text editor (i recommend notepad ++) to open the build.prop file
3.) Change the lines which have EN_AU to EN_EU, and save it.
4.) Reboot into Recovery.
5.) Open up a Command prompt, and type (without the ""): mount /system
6.) Open up a Command prompt, and type (without the ""): ADB push c:\build.prop /system/build.prop
7.) Reboot

Hmm oke, actually I'm quite new in this android modding stuff, but I'll look into this ADB stuff. I think I installed SDK, but don't know it's funtional right now. That's how you get into ADB right? Anyway there's no big rush since most part of my phone works great

Thanx and good luck on your exams!

By basic issues I mean little odd issues that make flashing tedious, the previous 11.05 rom I managed to flash by installing part1 and part 2 without a reboot and it worked, rebooting inbetween the 2 parts simply looped. I have also had issues with HTC ime FC'ing after clean installs and as I already mentioned have had to clean install the last 3 updates as a straight upgrade always resulted in a fail.

Saying that I have not turned off verification, I was not sure I needed to and went back to your instructions for my 3rd and final attempt to flash 11.12 before I put rodriguez miui version on tonight (to see that I am not going mad and lost the ability to do a simple flash)

As I mentioned previously I have primarily used modaco roms for the long term and as most members here will know they are usually issue free and stable so I dont tend to experience these kinds of issues when flashing - that said I really like the j-style and miui combo and would love to have a similar problem free experience so I can get on with enjoying the rom.

I apologize for my accusatory tone. I looked a little too much into what you had typed. In response to some of the issues, though:
- The HTC IME i think is my fault - i overwrote it with one that was supposed to be themed like the stock MIUI chinese keyboard, but it seems to FC, yes.
- Because i don't sign my zips, verification needs to be disabled.
To be honest I have een back in and checked my verification was indeed turned off. Downloaded 11.12 again, tried to flash and the same problem occured with assert failed: write_raw_image error.

This is happening on flashing part 1 so heaven only knows if part2 would create as much fuss. Are you looking in to potential causes of this as others have mentioned since about swapping the boot image from older releases and it flashing correctly?

Don't know if you solved ur problem but i encounter the same one.

Just downloaded this file from FTP link, and also another file and both are corrupt (tried also from different computers)

Just donwload thoses files from multiupload links and it was perfect.

I read that someone report an "error" applying the french part 2 , and I also got the same behavior : menu in chinese ^^

Thx

Well, it's just odd, as i haven't experienced the issue, and i wouldn't know how to fix it so that it works for everyone. All i can think of is that i either replace the kernel with an older one, replace the kernel with the DeFrost Experimental one, or remove it all together, and people will have to use a different one.

You may need to run the program "Locale" which installed itself when you flashed PART2 and change the language to French. Again, i'm not so good with this translation stuff, as i cant test it very well.

No, it looks like the build.prop didnt work. I'll write better instructions on how to change it. Remember: The only thing that you will gain from adjusting the build.prop is a faster GPS fix (it will still work, but a little slower without changing the locale in the build.prop

People! I am going to have to ask for some help, i think. Either that, or i'm gonna have to ask you all to be a little patient. Because I try to get stuff out as quickly as possible, a lot of the time stuff doesn't work properly for everyone.

When i started out this thread, all i wanted to do was give people the theme that i thought was radical. Now, it seems that I am releasing a theme, and translating it into about 5 different languages - and because I love the latest and greatest, it gets updated twice a week! On top of that, i am (doing my best, mind you) answering development related questions. You have to understand, though, that i ain't no developer. I am just like you, only i know a tiny bit about how themes work, and a little bit about how android works, but not much.

One of the other annoying things is that my upload speed is capped at 50KB/s, so it takes over an hour to upload a PART1 (to one site only, and i usually have two mirrors and an FTP) alone, not to mention the seven PART2's at 35MB a pop. So yeah, it's really taxing stuff. I find myself checking XDA every time i sit down at my computer, as soon as i get out of bed, etc.

Right, so down to buisness.

Taking into account all that, it's time that i get into a little bit more of a routine. From now on, I will not be doing a 2 PART system. Instead, all the modifications i make will live in the file that i upload and link to. It will be required that you flash an up-to-date MIUI rom. I strongly recommend, unless GPS fixes taking a little longer bothers you heaps, that you choose S-Murphy's MIUI roms, as he is constantly updating and providing fixes.

Once you have an up to date MIUI rom installed, You then flash the file i upload here. Much simpler, and it saves me reuploading the"PART1" for the sake of instructions.

Also: To keep sizes down, i will upload an application pack, which will contain stuff like DSPManager and titanium backup and clockworkMOD recovery. Useful stuff.

So yeah, to end this megalithic post, I'll just let you know that i am now getting the theme to work with S-Murphy's R2 rom, and that if you want to be really super awesomely ahead of the game, that you visit his website and download the latest release (the link will be at the top of the first post).

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them. Also, be ready for the FAQ (the amount of times i've answered that "white square instead of percentages" question, lol)

Josh - over and out.

@Joah can you please make a flashable zip of the Oxygen camera only? Trying the one from Defrost, btw

Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
For the love of Haruhi, don't PM me with questions. There are Q&A forums for that.

Josh, thanks for the response, I didnt know you were not also developing the rom in some way other than theming - any chance though you can throw up a link to s-murphy's site in the first post so users can go there and try the latest versions in case of issues.
