Exclamation READ BEFORE POSTING: Loose Hinge, Missing Memory, Root, Tethering

These issues have been discussed numerous times, please don't clutter the forum with questions that have been asked.

Use the SEARCH function, it's in the top right corner... >>^^

Chances are your questions have been answered several times.

1. Loose hinge:

Still under heated debate (for no reason). Some people think it's a defect, some think it's loose by design. personally, I don't think it can affect day to day operation. (unless you're Spiderman and you like to text upside down at a 45 degree angle)

More thorough discussion can be found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=796421

2. Missing Memory:

The memory is not missing. It's just not user accessible. Should be fixed soon via an OTA Update. More info here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=799629

and here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=795594

3. Root:

As of right now, there is no permanent root. Either way, this is not the right section. The section you should use when discussing rooting or otherwise modifying Android is the "G2 Android Development" section, found here:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=758

4. Tethering is not officially supported as of right now.

More info here:

First of all: You're not a Moderator -- just some guy -- telling the rest of us what to do.

1. A little self-serving to ask people to stop posting while at the same time getting in the last word with your personal opinion.

2. How do we know "fixed soon"? Wishful thinking, not fact.

The path to greatness: Sidekick 2 > Sidekick 3 > HTC Hermes > HTC Kaiser > BlackBerry 9700 > T-Mobile G2 > HTC Sensation > Galaxy Nexus i9250
