Cool Samsung stock earbuds..Ridiculous idea that worked..

Ok, first off I'm not a huge huge audiophile. I do not have an SPL meter surgically attached to my face or anything, and I know quite a lot of people take the sound quality of their devices seriously. Seriously to the point of spending extra jack on 3rd party headphones.

I'm at heart fundamentally a cheapskate. So, having said that....

After using the stock Samsung headphones for a while (which were never quite loud enough to my liking anyway) the little felt discs that keep your ear gunk from getting into the drivers...well they gunked up quite a bit on me. I suppose I have really nasty ears or something. Whatever...

So, I did one of the lamest things I've done in a long time, and removed those little felt plugs with a straight pin. And boy do these headphones sound a lot better and a lot louder.

How long they stand up to the flooding torrents of my ear goo, well that's hard to say, but I figured I'd pass along this simple tip while I was bored playing around with Bionix 1.8.

This is a pretty common trick by audiophiles to unleash the treble on IEMs. Just be careful not to poke a hole in the driver.
