Default [ROM] Stock Sense/Froyo *Updated 10/13 Release* (Rooted, Deodexed & Zipaligned)

This is a rooted ROM built from a properly signed, unreleased HTC Sense/Froyo OTA package. This MAY NOT be the final HTC/Verizon release of this build, so assume it is an early leak of an upcoming release until confirmed otherwise. The OTA does NOT contain a radio update, in case anyone was curious.

ROM Details:
  • Deodexed and zipaligned.

  • Includes all system components and full boot image.

  • Pre-rooted with Superuser 2.3.6.1.

  • Ramdisk modifications to disable ro.secure, enable adb on boot and support startup scripts in /system/etc/init.d.

  • Absolutely nothing removed.

Installation:
  1. You must be rooted, have nand unlocked and be running a 2.x radio. Follow dadicus' guide for details on how to perform these steps.

  2. Perform a nandroid backup of your current ROM, in case you change your mind or encounter issues.

  3. Apply the zip via Clockwork Recovery. It has not been tested with any other recovery.

  4. If you are coming from another completely stock ROM (i.e. Sense 2.1 or 2.2), you may not have to wipe data. I obviously recommend wiping data (since it will eliminate any possibly bad/stale configuration), but the update script will not do so automatically during installation. Use your best judgement to determine what works best for you.

Disclaimer

As with any modification (ROM, patch, etc), you run the risk of damaging your device. While unlikely, it is important to consider this possibility before proceeding. I take no responsibility for any such damage, data loss or otherwise.

Changelog

Version R1 (10/13/2010):
  • Initial release.

Here's the list of files which are either new or had associated patches larger than 500 bytes. I suspect anything smaller than that is simply noise and was likely considered different as a result of being rebuilt.
