Default help DeOdexing my phone

so i used the 928DROID Easy Deodox Method to deodex my phone. but it installs this horribly ugly "black glass" theme and i hate it so much. i tried installing the rom Tranquility over this theme (which is the reason i wanted to deodex in the first place) but when i did a few things from the 928droid theme still stayed after flashing tranquility (like the fb / twitter skin). so does any one know if there is a way i can deodex my phone WITHOUT having to get this ugly ass 928Droid theme? pretty much the only reason i want my phone deodexed is so i can have this tranquility rom on my phone that requires me to be deodexed.

After you run the 928 blackglass to deodex. You....run the "back to stock" file from 928's website. It will then take everything back to stock but leave them deodexed for themeing. This is how I deodexed....I also had the problem of facebook and twitter staying themed. I had to uninstall them, restart the phone and download them from the market. Then they were unthemed.

Exactly the process i did

1. 928blackglassdeodexeeerrr
2. 9238backtostockdeodexed
3. Incognito theme

Only issue i ran into was gmail force closing, but wiping app data fixed that. Had no problems with stuff staying themed black glass

Hey Guys Just got my DX...coming from Eris

I rooted my phone and now I want to deodex. Is it complicated or "dangerous"? I'm going through the 928 Method and I don't know what SBF is and don't know what I'll need to know. Sorry again I'm coming from Eris and it didn't take much to root and theme that phone. Any tips will help guys thanks

SBF is basically the master recovery image. You'll want it if you ever brick your phone or want to go back to complete stock. Deodexing isn't dangerous. I deodexed manually by following these instructions http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=765270 . I find it easier to do it manually than through multiple update packages just to get back to stock with deodexing.

Tranquility is already deodexed, zipaligned and optimized because it's a ROM and not a theme. If you device is odexed it will deodex during the install. No reason to Deodex first.
