Default 30day window

i just purchased my hd2 two weeks ago. I hear now that hd7 is coming out. I am in the 30 day window for buyers remorse. should I return it and wait for the hd7? or should I wait for a rom? Hd2 is a great phone, but I really am excited for the Hd7. I don't know what I should do.

Chances are the HD2 will get some kind of custom WP7 ROM, chances are the HD7 will never run WinMo or Android. My vote=keep the HD2 and be patient.

If you want to run windows phone 7, get the hd7. Even if the hd2 gets a port of wp7, it will probably not have access to the market or any Ms cloud support, as each wp7 device has a unique identifier that is needed for cloud and marketplace support.

When did they say that about android market? This is something new Ms has embedded in every wp7 device. Da_g, the dev who was working on porting wp7 with cotulla, clearly stated that he doesn't think there will be a way around it at this point. He said we can expect a port, but one without cloud support... which will include the market probably.
I'm just don't think you should advise someone to keep their hd2 expecting a full functional wp7 port when he still has a chance to return it. If someone definitely wants wp7, they shouldn't be advised to keep the hd2 instead of the hd7. There is no certainty that the hd2 will get a wp7 port, let alone a fully functional port.

I think so. That shouldn't matter. Wait, does the hd2 have ota? Or do you mean you updated it manually? As long as you did the official updates, it should be fine to return. But if you put hardspl on the hd2 so that you can put custom roms on it, you will have undo the hardspl before returning it.

Even with a custom Rom there will be other markets available like on WinMo, I wouldn't sweat it.

Way back when in 2008 when the first Android ports where first being started, the devs told everyone that the market would be off limits, because each device has some sort of embedded key that identifies said device to Google's servers...and yet here we are, nearly functional Android ports for a slew of devices with full Market support. I am adviseing this person on my personal experience, if you want to run Android as well as WP7, I would get and stay with the HD2 as the HD7 is more than likely never going to run Android.

I did have some cooked roms on it but then I did a flash of the latest 3.14 from tmous I extracted the exe and took the nhb file or whatever its called and put it on the sd card and did a hard flash instead of using usb, that changed the hspl from coutlla to the stock. They said they wont notice the difference.

I think im deciding to keep the hd2 because I know that wm7 will have lots of bugs. Until Microsoft fixes those first bugs I might consider. who knows they might make better phones within a year or even a few months.
