Default Does psx4droid actually, y'know, play games?

I've tried it with a bunch of roms and so far it hasn't worked with any of them except Worms Armageddon which it ran at like 5 frames per second. I've tried FF Tactics, MGS, Simcity 2000, Warcraft 2, and a couple others, and it launched MGS but skips through the briefing and crashes when I load a VR mission and stays at a black screen when I load the story mode. I only have Lite because if it's this limited I can't see myself buying it. I'm running version 1.6 for the record.

Does anyone have any luck with any games on their G2? If so, what version are you running, and what games are they?

Odd. I'm using version 1.7 and its very playable. Sound is a little choppy noticable but not detrimental. I've played FF7, gta dos, FF tactics, and metal gear solid 1.

Are you using the bios file? I believe its called sch1001.bin. I've seen two other bios files ending in 1000 and 1002. I've read 1001 is the right one, as it works for me.

Also the ps emulator only recgonizes .img or .bin files and not .iso files.

Sent from deep inside my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App

I have scph1001.bin.

Is there any way to save 1.6 so I can upgrade to 1.7 but revert if it's worse? Sorry, I'm new to android.

yeah works pretty much as it should...make sure you have the right BIOS file and then just google roms that are confirmed working. have been using without any problems yet

I've been using it as well with no problems. I have so far only played Digimon World 3 on it and everything has been good except for the sound being a little choppy. However, when I overclock the G2 about to 1.1-1.5ghz, the sounds becomes perfect.

I've been playing gran turismo 2 on mine pretty smoothly, however my sound is pretty choppy even running at ~1.4ghz.
