thanks so much i was afraid of using the nordic flasher but this just made it so easy.

when i long press default.prop in system folder it says
"you cannot edit this filebecause the file system is read only"

As it says in the guide. Press the Mount R/W button in the top right corner.

sorry but i cant see a button that says Mount R/W

i hv rooted my phone n now wat is the nxt step rom where should i get root explorer ? in the market its not showing

Use adb...

run "su"

execute this in the # prompt : mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system

execute this...

cd /system
busybox cp default.prop /sdcard/default.prop

Keep adb running... Mount your SDcard... Navigate to default.prop on your PC in a memory card. Open file, edit and save...

Unmount SDCard.

run following in the command prompt...

busybox cp /sdcard/default.prop /system/default.prop

Run the update...
