dell streak o2 uk

Hi i've just got a dell streak on o2 uk and its still 1.6 and i would like the 2.1 update from o2 and its not givein me the update ota and when i goto settings, about device, system update, it go's to a web page your device is up to date, can anyone point me the the right direction to download the offical o2 2.1 update thanks

The official one was pulled by O2, as it was full of bugs.

This is the leaked version, which I have used ever since it was released, works a treat !

Transfer it to the root directory on the Streak's microSD card, turn off Streak, hold the volume up and down buttons while turning the device on to boot into recovery mode, and select option 2. Then just sit back for a few minutes while the Streak does its thing.

Is it the root of the external (16 or 32gb) sd or the internal 2gb one? Not sure if the internal one is even accessible but thought best to check :) also... I have the 2.2 v1.0 (bought it already flashed) and I'd like to try the new version, the thread with instructions is huge and with all the updates and various questiins etc... ive found it extremely confusing??? Any pointers or links to other threads would be brilliant :) I'm using win7 64bit just to add a little more annoyance :)

Read the section "guide to upgrading and downgrading". I received a new UK streak about 3 weeks ago and to upgrade from 1.6 to 2.1 I had to treat it like a US Streak (otherwise the upgrade always stops at 50%). 2.1 8105 runs great on my Streak
