Cool [Q] HTC Sync myTouch 4G -

Ok. So the 4G was officially released by TMo yesterday. The user guide says we can download and install HTC Sync so we can sync stuff with Outlook. Apparently this is not the case according to HTC. Are there any alternatives to sync the phone with Outlook?

Default Built in Exchange support

Exchange support is built in to the phone dude! I hope I'm getting your query right....

Go to the Mail app with the magenta envelope... add your exchange and choose what to sync.

That's what you want right?

Edit: If you don't have exchange server and want to sync with your home Outlook... I don't know the answer to that.

I can confirm that HTC sync 3.0.5481 does not work with my MT4G on Windows 7 64-bit.

I saw the Exchange connector. Not what I was looking for. We use a hosted email service that is not Exchange-based, but I use Outlook as my email/calendar/tasks client.

Neither version of HTC Sync works (2 or 3). HTC says device is TOO NEW to be supported yet.

you can use google's desktop sync to sync your outlook calendar to your google account, which will then automatically sync to your phone.

as for email, check what settings outlook is using to connect (probably imap) and duplicate those in the email app on your phone.
