- i try method after flash stock firmware, then run script
- or after flash stock firmware, use update to root.. then reboot, then run script..
- i try root via update, reinstall packages, then reboot, then install root explorer, then replace recovery file in the /system/bin then reboot..

stays on the sdcard.

when you boot into recovery and choose re-install packages clockwork will
be able to do its thing.

I do like the sig verification but it's a PITA and may disable it, this is a temp
fix until I can finish hacking on recovery there is very little clues as to where
the functions are so it may be a few days.

forgot to mention to you also have to remount /system rw

mount -o rw,remount /dev/block/stl9 /system
I am not sure what you mean about putting the recovery into the system/bin directory and the keys to efs...if i explode the zip file i can find a recovery file but see nothing I would label as keys...help further please?

I copied both to the internal sd card, and really not sure what to do next.

Now if any virus protection is still on it will stop and your virus protection will inform you of what a good job it is doing so you just have to turn off more until recovery works then make sure you have the zip update on your internal SD, reboot into recovery, click on reinstall packages and when it reboots you should have superuser and you can go from there.
I put it on the internal sd card and ran the install bat, but it tried to create a temp root to continue, and it failed? I am already rooted using superoneclick...still trying to make this work so I can boot int cwr...any help please?

Does anyone have this working on a KB5 T-mobile Vibrant?

I'm having problems with this on KB5 as well.

I'm rooting using Superoneclick
Run install.bat
copying the recover file in /system/bin
copying update.zip to the sdcard
copying adbWinAPI.dll and adbWinUSBApi.dll to /efs
Open Rom manager, reboot to recover
reinstall packages

and at that point it either brings up the Vibrant splash screen and brings me back to the same screen or boots my phone up

What am I doing wrong?

Default Too Complicated

Sorry but this sh!t is too complicated. All I want is for my CWM to work on my vibrant so I can flash a gingerbread ROM. I'm not a programmer and trying to understand these directions is too much. I guess I'll just wait for Samsung to roll out the official version. I have flashed ROMs before so I understand most of what I read when it comes to flashing but not this.
