[Q] Unlocking G2 for out of state use

I have a friend that lives up in canada. He's been talking to me alot about getting the G2 but it was putting him off there was no way to root the phone that is till today. Since I do not have one in hand (and no real access to one) I was wondering if anyone could post an IMEI from the G2. He uses Bell in Canada and can use phones from the states but he wants to check to make sure he can actually use the G2 on his network before he spends the $500 to buy one and get the unlock code.
