Default Having trouble rooting MT4G! Terminal 'can not read' wpx.ko

When I try to execute insmod /data/local/wpx.ko it says 'can not open no such file or directory' which is bs because the file is in /data/local/. I have no idea whats going on. Even when I permroot with Visionary it says the same thing. It's like it can't see the files or something. I downloaded them from the phone didn't work, then I downloaded them on my pc and put them on my phone, still didn't work.

Sidekick LX > HTC Espresso > Samsung Galaxy S I9000 > HTC Vision > HTC Glacier

Nah, he has his G2 rooted just fine following the same basic instructions. I have no idea what's causing his issue, though. :/
Are you new to XDA? Don't be this guy:

I know this is a wild stab but did you by chance use a Mac to download the file to your phone? My Mac automatically saved the wpx.ko file as a wpx.ko.ko which means I had to change the extension first for it to work.
