Wallpaper dithering in gradiented themes

Hello, it seems that when I apply a wallpaper with a gradient, the gradient becomes very chunky and not dithered - there are steps from one color to another, no smooth transitions. Am I doing something wrong?

try the app wallpaper set save...it seems to do a better job at setting the wallpapers plus u dnt have to resize them...it uses the whole wallpaper
