You should really treat it like a fresh install instead of an update. Trust me I made the mistake of trying to update it first, got stuck at the android loading screen (not gonna lie I kinda expect it to do that) and had to go back and reinstall it as a fresh install.

This procedure only works once after a fresh ROM installation. The DX_Keyboard is gone and re-installing doesn't work if a factory reset is performed. The only way to get it install again is to do a fresh ROM installation.

This is strange because I retest it the RC2, RC3 version, the dx_keyboard stays permanantly after a factory reset. Any advise?

Just installed the 2.1 final version following the standard procedures on the main page. Everything seems working so far except the DX keyboard doesn't show up after installing it from the SD/fission folder. The phone icon doesn't show up at all in the app draw. Tapping the phone icon on the launcher doesn't open it up neither. Anyone has any suggestion?

Just a quick question. I'm anxious to try this ROM, however I've been using the Swype keyboard and am wondering if this ROM includes the Swype keyboard. I know the beta is closed, so I don't know if I want to move away from Swype since I've become so accustomed to it.

Yes, this ROM includes the Swype keyboard and it is used as the default keyboard.

I just moved from stock 2.2 to Fission 2.1 final last night - everything went smoothly and it seems to be working well! One problem I've found though is that my phone is now unable to play any music. The Android Music player gives an error that every file I play is not supported by the music player, Pandora just hangs when trying to play, XiiaLive gives a media player error, and even Winamp gives an error that it can't play anything. I've tried clearing data for the Music application, reinstalling both Android_Music and DX_Music from the Add_On directory, battery pulls, etc. but nothing seems to work. I've heard of a similar problem happening on Moto stock firmware but I never had this problem until I flashed to Fission 2.1.

Any ideas? Thanks for all your hard work on this - it looks great!

Is it me or has anyone noticed that the DX camera will not focus correctly with the 2.1 ROM?

Just tried it and it seemed to be fine. Maybe try some different lighting conditions.
