Default GT540 Headset compatible to P500?

I want to buy an in-ear headset for the P500 but there are only few on eBay and they are quite expensive. At the same time there are a lot of such headsets for GT540 which are really chip.

So I wanted to ask if someone happens to know, whether those headsets are compatible (especially concerning the mic)? They both have mini-jack but you never know.

It should be same. I compared accessories on t-mobile and here is same headset for both phone same.

P500 Headset (ID M130N95PHFC)

GT 540 headset (ID M130N95PHFC)

Exactly same ID and also connector seems like same.

Thanks. In the meantime I've found a better one:
LG SGEY0005576
Here is a proof that it should work with P500

I got those and they work, but audio quality is about as bad as with the stock ones. On the other hand you can disconnect the headphones from the headset part and connect better ones, so they're not such a waste of money

Doesn't every 3.5mm socket earphone work with the phone?

I tried it with my friend's iPod earphones and they worked just fine (Song skipping, pausing supported from the button on the headset too)

I would suggest just getting a bluetooth stereo headset, some of newer ones have decent audio quality, like motorola hd series, and will be lots better to ride your bike without extra cords, and they do have playback controls on them
