Default FINALLY got the phone into download mode, what now?

For those of you familiar with my situation my girlfriend's phone was 'bricked' and wouldn't access download mode at all, and her new one from T Mobile would, so I figured it was just hosed. Well I had a last ditch idea in an effort to save her data to try a different cord and to my surprise it actually worked. The damn thing is finally in download mode.

Can someone walk me through exactly what I can do now to avoid deleting any of her nandroid backups? I just want to get the phone to a point where I can access recovery again and restore the nandroid backup I had created. There are so many different guides for odin and they don't specifically state whether or not files will be deleted, so I would really appreciate if someone can give me a step by step on what to do now to get the phone back to a point where I can enter recovery and do a nandroid restore. I have never used odin before, but I do have it downloaded. Thank you.

Follow this, it's easy sauce:
forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/6998-howto-how-to-recover-from-a-soft-brick-on-your-vibrant-and-return-to-stock-phone-pc-error/[/url]

That'll put you back to stock. From there, re-root, install your recovery joint and restore the nandroid....when that's done, BACK UP the data to a PC.

Data on "internal" SD and removable SD will be fine.

Once in download mode
Download the files in the linked thread and follow the directions there or the ones below.

Files Needed Available Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=734475
Odin v1.7 Available Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=821625

1) Open Odin and verify that one of the Com ports shows a device connected. If it doesn't try using a different usb port.
2) Load the .pit and pda files. It should be pretty obvious how to do that once you are in Odin.
3) Make sure that the option to partition is unchecked. The other two options should be checked.
4) Hit start and wait.
5) Your phone will restart when Odin is done and you will be good to go.

Also, if you would like I can use remote log in to your computer and do it for you. Send me a pm or email: hockeyrcks9901@gmail.com
