Default Sync Phone7 with Lotus Notes

If you are interested in syncing your Phone7 with Lotus Notes, try the commontime mNotes Wireless (there´s a free trial).

It even works in your enterprise environment, as long as you can reach the commontime servers (proxy is supported).

Works like a charm with my Mozart - just follow the instructions for the HTC Hero.

you´ll find the instruction here:

h ttp://www.commontime.com/assets/mNotes_SetupGuide_HTC_Hero.pdf

You are right - they say they don´t support it, but it works perfectly.
Even Accepting / Declining of invitations, public adressbook search and all that stuff.

Just keep exactly to the hero-instruction, and carefully read "before you start" (alias...)

Also take care to fill out the fields exactly as shown in the Hero-Guide (especially the correct Name, Alias,...)

Thumbs up Some Help if possible

Hi Guys,
I read this with interest and got a copy of the setup pdf.

The problem I'm currently having is (hoping I'm not having a brain dead moment) how do you wifi connect to your Notes account? I setup a ad-hoc network on my laptob but my Mozart cannot see that (surprise, surprise). So I'm guessing you guys have connected both devices to a standard (non-hidden) wifi network?? Can you let me know. Thanks
Not Technical or a noob? READ LOTS post little..

Do you know why this is sorry? Is there away to make it work or not?

The Notes connection works via your Internet-Connection (Proxies are supported).

mNotes establishes a connection between the mNotes Server and your Phone7 Exchange Connector while your Client connects to the Server via your Standard Internet connection.

Hope that helps

I found out that this method of syncing has one small issue:

If you use the notes public adressbook lookup function from your phone-mail app, mnotes sometimes fails to deliver the mail (it skips the blanks between prename and surname).

This will NOT happen, when you use the lookup function from your phone-adressbook app or from the phone-calender app.

Replies work as well, it just seems to happen if you create new mails directly from the mail app.

Anyway, as far as i know mNotes is still the only way to sync Notes and the Mozart by now, so it seems to be an acceptable issue for me

@Blueant
got it working?
You don´t need to connect the Phone7 to a WLAN, it will sync via your GSM connection.
Just connect your PC to the Internet & follow the Setup guide.
That will do.
