How to unlock samsung verizon i920 Omnia II 2?

hi How to unlock verizon i920 Omnia II 2?
I've connected the phone to another network operator but 3G did not work. They said they didn't know how make 3G (ev-do) to work for this phone.
Do you know what is the problem and how to solve it?

I use this phone in CDMA operator not with GSM. It works fine but only voice ((( and there is no internet connection (CDMA2000 1x. EV-DO - usually it's called '3G')

My opertor told me that it was because of verizon firmware. the phone is locked or something like that.
